Update: Inquiry to begin hearing evidence for its second investigation

The Inquiry will begin hearing evidence for its second investigation, examining core UK decision making and political governance (Module 2), on Tuesday 3rd of October.

The hearings will take place over nine weeks, and are expected to conclude on Thursday 14th of December.

There will be two week-long breaks in the hearing schedule:

  • w/c Monday 23rd of October.
  • w/c Monday 13th November.

The hearings will be held at Dorland House, London, W2 6BU (map). The hearings will be open to the public to attend. Information on how to attend can be found on our website. The witness timetable will be made available on our website nearer the time.

A further preliminary hearing for Module 2A, which focuses on decision making and political governance in Scotland, is provisionally scheduled to be held in Dorland House on Thursday 26th October. Public hearings will be held in Scotland in January 2024.

The hearings will be available to watch on the Inquiry’s YouTube channel, subject to a three minute delay.

We will publish a transcript of hearing proceedings at the end of each day. A recording of the hearing will be published on the Inquiry’s website at a later date.
