The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has opened a public consultation on its draft Terms of Reference. Over the course of the next four weeks, the Inquiry will be seeking views from the public, bereaved families, professional bodies, and support groups on the draft Terms of Reference. The Terms of Reference will set out the scope of the Inquiry.

The Chair has written to the public setting out how she plans to take the public consultation forward.

The draft Terms of Reference for the Inquiry can be found on our documents page.

By taking part in the public consultation, you can have your say on:

  • Whether you think the draft Terms of Reference cover everything that should be addressed by the Inquiry;
  • Which topics or issues you think the Inquiry should look at first;
  • Whether you think the Inquiry should set a planned end-date for its public hearings;
  • How you think the Inquiry should be designed and run to ensure that bereaved people or those who have suffered harm or hardship as a result of the pandemic have their voices heard.

Anyone is the UK can take part in the online consultation, which is open until the 7 April 2022 at 23:59.

You can take part in the consultation here.
